Me and my gf just got 3gs iphones together on a family plan. We have been using my itunes account... but now she wants all this pop junk and i don't want to be the one paying for it.

Are gift cards the only solution? She can buy a 30$ card and pick out a few albums or singles and they appear in our family itunes account but I don't pay for them.

Is that the only solution?

Thanks

She can open her own iTunes account and use it to download music through it.

your music would still be available to her. The music library is still the same. We have 5 separate ITune accounts all accessing the same music library.

So I can have her setup an itunes account and both of us would share any purchased music? Itunes plus should be universal to use?

Sorry for being a newb, I've never had to share my mac before.:apple:

If you're using the same computer, even DRM songs would be universal to use in the ways you're using them. Just authorize the computer to both accounts and you're good to go. Just make sure you're signed in on the correct account before purchasing.

Perfect! Thanks for the help!

yes. the only thing you'd have to do (i think) is, the first time you listen to the song, enter the password of the account that song was purchased on, but this might only be for different computers
