No app at this time is allowed to show off their new design for iOS 7. They must be saved for after the release of iOS 7.

If any apps have shown their iOS 7 design, well, thats up to them - but you'll definitely see all of Apple's apps get an internal redesign between the GM and final public release of iOS 7.
They are definitely allowed it's just some developers (Appl in particular) might decide to wait until iOS 7 is actually released to the public before they do that.

Well, no app is allowed to use iOS 7's new APIs until the official release of iOS 7. The developers can submit their updated apps after the GM is released, but they won't be approved and pushed until iOS 7's release.

An app can change how it looks to better match iOS 7, but to really fit in to iOS 7 the apps need to take advantage of the new APIs in iOS 7. They are sure working on them now, and will finish them once the GM is released and all APIs are finalized for the public release, at which point the developers can submit their iOS 7 ready apps.

No apps being updated now are using the iOS 7 APIs. They are just editing current code with the iOS 6 SDK so their apps do not crash, and they can edit the interface somewhat to better match. But most are just waiting to update until they can fully utilize the changes in iOS 7, meaning they'll be updated after public release.

Funny how most of the threads on this forum now consist of a million and 1 posts saying:

- It's a beta
- Wrong place to post
- Another thread, why not just put it in the other
- This isn't iOS 7 related

YAWN. . . . . . . .

Strange, isn't it? I'm almost 50 years old, and I've been on various message boards for many years. But I've never been on one like this, where significant numbers of people are so critical of other people's posts.

Before you even start a thread you know that a significant number of the replies aren't going to be replies at all. They're going to be people telling you they're not interested in the subject, that you shouldn't have made a thread about the subject, that you should have posted it in some other long-buried thread, that you must not be a developer so you have no business commenting about the subject, etc.

Honestly, I don't understand the urge some people feel to shut down discussion on a discussion board, of all places.

Couldn't have said it better! Keyboard tough guys!

Sure, but that was just about the looks.

I think you'll find that that is still the old icon, not the new one. Notice how the new boarder is white, and the previous border is grey. The icon you posted there in iCloud Settings has a grey border, still.

Oh I guess it is grey oops lol I just noticed it didn't have the dot with writing or the map behind the radar like the old Find my iPhone app. Its kind of a hybrid between the two, but definitely not the old icon
