new folder in mac mail

hello i have inbox/sent/junk but i would like to create a folder for myself so i can put my prive emails in,any ideas how to create a new folder please?

It's the Mailbox > New Mailbox command. They call them mailboxes instead of folders, even though folders is probably a better description.

thank you,i was going to put the folder under say hotmail account but the options were mac hd or rss so i put the folder under on my mac
