Hands down the funniest Get a Mac commercial yet. John Hodgman's facial expressions are hilarious.

weak...not that funny. Office 08 = cow. It's supposed to be a universal app and it's almost as slow as 04 on my 24" iMac w/ 2GB ram.

love theses " Get a Mac" adds. But i really didn't enjoy this one as much as i did the "yoga" and "breakthrough" adds.

Hodgman is the star of all these ads. He really just proved it. Not as funny as some other but still good.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

odd I can't watch it on my iPhone...

The funniest part of this ad is that it's a huge lie. Office 2008 is slow, crashes often, and uses up ridiculous amounts of RAM for no apparent reason all the while not adding any breakthrough features to the suite. Compatible? Sure, if you can keep the program open long enough to even see what is written in the document or excel file. They should just advertise Parallels and Office 2007. Even though it may seem harder to set up, it's actually easier to use. I know I'm exaggerating, but no a whole lot. Other than that the ad is decent.

Wow, you're only posting this NOW some 48 hours later?

I reported this to you yesterday and even that was 24 hours after the first showing?

Turtle speed and this posting is after many other mac sites have reported it!

not the best one of the bunch, but the best thing about this ad is that its trying to dispel the myth that Macs aren't compatible machines, a thought that many people still hold today.

i am writing a whole project on M$ office 2008 (60 pages)

it is great, to be fair.

I like the ad, but I agree about it not quite being the reality with Office 2008.

For a start I don't know why they still can't get 'centimetres' on Excel:Mac to match 'centimetres' on Excel 2007 (cell dimensions, and how many rows/columns fit to a page).

It seems to me that the MacBU and a lot of people that have reviewed Office 2008 work in some mythical Mac-only environment, and compatibility hardly gets a mention beyond the loss of VBA in Excel.

Some things have improved though - Word handles pasting in pictures much better than in 2004, and handles vector images as well. I haven't actually tried pasting in Excel graphs yet, but maybe, just maybe, they will even work properly with vertical axis labels :).

So yeah, good ad!

Speaking from experience? Because yesterday I sat on the couch watching my sister become increasingly aggravated and agitated as Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac crashed no fewer than five times in a row as she tried to create a lesson plan document with images pasted in it.
