I just put a new hard drive in my Powerbook, and I'm just trying to figure out what the next step is. I've read around and read something about "formating the new hard drive as HFS+". Now I'm just trying to figure out how to do that from the start up. And if that is the case, I would sure like to know how. But again, I'm not sure what it is I need to do to get Mac OS X up and running on. If any body could help me out on this it sure would be nice. I figured it would have just been a matter of installing the hard drive then turning the computer on then installing OS X but I guess I was wrong. Again thanks for any info that can help.

Put your OSX installation disk in the drive and start up holding C :)
