I'm not at the position to need this yet, but with all the talk about lion boot discs/drives, etc... I thought it would be a good time to ask.
When i upgraded to my current hard drive I was able to start the macbook up with the SL disc and my external hard drive (time machine) hooked up and do a restore to the most recent backup. This definitely made upgrading my hard drive very easy.
In the future when I decide to install that SSD and want to restore my most recent backup from time machine, how would I do that? A usb drive with the boot loaded (a la https://www.macrumors.com/2011/08/08/apple-releases-utility-to-create-lion-recovery-usb-key/)
I think that's the case, but thought it was a good question to ask.
