I am getting a new HD for my mac

I have the disks that came with it for the reinstall OS thing.

Will the disks work for the new HD?
 
Yes they will. The installation disks are tied to the chipset & processor of the Mac model, but they don't worry if you replace your hard disk for a larger one.
