Tons of these, some good priced ones that work well are the zagg smartbuds. My brother seems to be happy with them, although there are some mixed reviews about this product on this forum, My brother seems to like them and I have no problems with the other zagg buds that they discontinued.
I bet you if you search Headphones and you will find allot of info all depends on you budget. you can spend $20 to $1000 I just ordered the HT-21 from Meelectronics should get it tomorrow. I will be among the 1st I plan to review it. http://www.meelec.com/category_s/336.htm

and those are what? those just look bizarre headphones should be the over the ear type while earphones would be IEM or in ear.

Yes they don't come with a mic or control buttons on the cable but you can now buy the new ie8i cable and use it on the ie8's

The isolation is not the best with the tips provided but comply tips make a good difference!

your suggesting a $400 pair I'm guessing that is a little more then the TS wants to spend. I'm trying to make reasonable suggestions. I was merely talking about modifying his ear buds and I am trying to suggest the Apples ear buds aren't worth it. they still might want to do it. lets see if he is interested before going over kill.

I like these. For me, they are perfect and at a great price. I don't have $100 plus to spend on earphones.
