New here (MacBook Pro and Wireless Keyboard Pairing)

Hi, this is my first thread here.

So...I have a macbook pro 2.4GHz, and I just bought the new thin wireless keyboard. I can't seem to make it connect with my computer. I followed the instructions in the booklet it came with as well as going in the System Preferences and clicking on "Set UP New Device" inside Keyboard & Mouse.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

have you turned bluetooth on? system prefs->bluetooth

also have you tried to add the keyboard there if you didnt use that route in the first place

FINALLY!! Thank you everyone for trying to help. I'm not sure what was going on. Anyway, I'm connected and ready to rock'n roll!
