Hi

While experimenting with the video settings on my iPhone I discovered a way to display High Definition footage using the small screen and the accelerometers. I filmed how to do it and put the video up on youtube here:

I hope you find this interesting even if you have found this feature already.

haha, i got all excited when i saw you moving the screen around in order to see the entire zoomed video.

edit: will tweet it right now!

I tried doing it with a YouTube video on my iPhone 3GS and it doesn't work.

What you showed in your video is amazing, but can "we" do the same thing?

I left you a 5 rating because it's 3D in appearance. I'd like to be able to do that too. Is it possible? If so, anything I need to know?

I would turn to your left, and flip the Sarcasm switch on.

can you post step by step instructions on how to do this? i would really like to use the interactive hologram feature

Why? Is it fake? Seriously...

You actually think we have the ability to project a hologram above the display and interact with and change the outcome of the PRE-RECORDED VIDEO (flicking the juggling balls away, for example)?

EDIT: I'd like the hear the ages of the people who fell for this.

I GOT IT WORKING!

It showed me the plans to the Death Star and I was able to direct Luke to the proper firing coordinates.

My phone won't do it. I called Apple and have scheduled a meeting at the Genius bar. Yet another defective unit.

My friends Pre can do multiple holograms at once while his hi-def records.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I changed the setting and I got it working. Having a little trouble setting up brightness in Holographic setting but I'll figure it out. Thanks Again!!!:)

Pretty cool video must have taken quite a bit of work to make especially the bit where he is waving the phone around and getting different bits of video display.

Very nice effects. The faster the arm, the better the picture!

I bookmarked your site. You've got some real gems on there.
