They just lowered the price of the feb 2011 2.0 i7 with standard res refurb but have been seriously looking at the hi res glossy screen but at this point it would be almost a 500 upgrade cost because of having to get a new one. Coming from a 17" anti glare.

apple never lowers prices on macs what are u talking about?

oh nvm refurb...

it depends if the 500 dollars is worth it for a new over refurb plus custom option

go to the store to see if ur happy with standard res

members can here can say which one they like best but u wont know until u see for yourself

Standard res would never work for you. Coming from the gorgeous display a 17" has you'd be very disappointed. Not only with it's appearance but all the scrolling you'd be doing. There's not much working room with a STD res.
