no I was installing it off a DVD onto a partition and it took up almost all the space. I might have to delete both Tiger and Leopard and install Leopard normally on 30gb drive instead of partition.
Partition the drive as 20GB for Leopard and 10GB for Tiger just for testing. It'll work fine. Once you choose an OS you can dedicate the whole 30GB to what you choose.

Hmm. I am running Leopard now, on my G4DA with 1.5 GB of RAM, and the entire system folder is 4.3 GB. On a separate partition, the Tiger system folder requires 1.7 GB (more, obviously, if you install Classic on it). You should have enough room to at least try them both. How difficult is it to upgrade a HDD on this model? I think you'd have plenty of room for both (and apps and files) with 60 GB, and you could probably pick up a HDD in the 60-120 GB range for almost nothing. You might also be able to create another partition for shared applications and data (compatible with both) so you don't have to install two copies of said apps.

I'd concur with some of the comments above. If you aren't using a graphics card that will benefit from Leopard, or if you have less than 1 GB of RAM, Leopard will be pretty slow, but one benefit to Leopard is browsing with WebKit, since even though Leopard can be slower than Tiger, WebKit on Leopard is still faster than TFF on Tiger. Another is that some applications are still compatible with Leopard but not Tiger. (For example, I use Viscosity to launch my VPN's configuration files using OpenVPN, and it runs on Leopard, but not Tiger.)

I'll see. I haven't made up my mind what I want for the OS. I won't be installing a HD since that would be too complicated and having lost 2 screws for the memory cover I'm not sure I can keep from losing them.

I find that TFF on Tiger is way faster than TFF on Leopard. I think a TFF with all tweaks on Tiger would be similar to LWK on Leopard.
