Yeah, but they are manufactured to Apple's specifications, even quality-wise. If they are not able to consistently meet those specs, they lose their contract.

What's so distinctive about California? Last I checked even the movies that are spawned from that place sucks like there is no tomorrow, and the movie industry is crying all day about how people don't go to theatres anymore.

I suppose Apples are designed in that same kind of climate too? Previously good but sucks now?
