New @icloud Account

Friends,

Been using Gmail for years as my Apple ID, and having my emails about Apple stuff sent to my Gmail. I need to change now.

How do I create a new email account that ends with @icloud.com AND assign that as my new Apple ID AND begin recieving all Apple related emails at my new @icloud.com address?

Please help with step by step,

Just go to the Apple web site My AppleID and log into with your AppleID /password and look at the verified email addresses. Plus if you also go the iCloud Mail web page and in there click on you name in the top right hand on the web page and choose Account Settings. There you can stop the forwarding of email.
