I have an iPhone 5C with iOS 10.1.1 currently. After I loaded it, I notice that first thing in the morning when I press the home button an new (to me) icon appears in the lower left corner of the screen, about where the "e" in "emergency" appears when I press home to open the password screen. It only comes on first thing in the morning, presumably needing seven or eight hours to regenerate. It is a white circle which almost looks like a small clock face, but small enough that I can't really tell at that hour what it is. I don't believe I ever noticed this before 10.1.1 but it could have been there. Any ideas what it is?

This is part of Handoff, itself part of Continuity, and is a recent new feature. More about Continuity can be found here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204681
