So I have recently received my 2011 iMac i7 4gb ram with 256 ssd and 1 tb hd.

I am concerned with my software install time. Logic studio (plus extra content) took at least 5-6 hours to install. I don't know if that is because I chose to install my core program to the ssd while the extra content on my secondary HDD. And then I popped in my native instruments Komplete, it took me an hour to install each DVD disk. So it took me roughly 10 hours to install all 10 of them.

For my adobe creative suite though, since I just copied the dmg file from my old mac, and have everything installed on the primary ssd drive, the 6 gb program only took around 5-6 mins to finish.

So now I'm wondering if the install time is affected by my install location, or is there something wrong with my mac/ SuperDrive/ something else?

Would anyone wanna shed some light on this topic?
