I used to believe the same, but Windows 10 has become a great OS. With Apple's increasingly non-friendly customer practices, I'm actually considering a Windows machine for my next system - for the first time in 15 years. Anyways, Windows 10 is a clear improvement, and there's really no reason to keep hanging on to Windows 7 afaik.
