Maybe that's the point and they'll be nice new iMacs when everyone wakes up in the USA. Or maybe it's not and we're all just worrying over a server crash.

Or maybe I should stop being on this forum and I should go to work. Or maybe I should realise that there's more to live than technology and apple products and should think about the more important things in life. Or maybe I should stay here read into everything and buy the new iMac Wooh!!!!

Silent product refreshes normally happen in UK morning time, when most of the US is asleep (usually from around 9:30 am UK time to 11 am UK time). The long shutdowns are maintenance.

Tenuous Theory:

The new iMac is being released today 18/07/2012.

Europe is ahead of the US (which still has prices) time-wise.

As the 'old' iMac is technically now no longer on sale in Europe, the prices are missing from the Euro stores.

There are no iMac prices in the German, French, Irsh or UK stores. Haven't looked anywhere else.

Sounds like a load of waffles to me.

Routine maintenance, as stated...

It's back up and there are no new products.
Edit: Never mind. Now it's gone back down again.

Come on, guys.
iMac is a top product line. Apple has never launched it without announcing it except it is a little incremental change, which is going to be disappointed.

Last year's refresh was quite large in terms of performance. There were no announcements.

Don't forget that Apple had a regime change (Tim Cook replacing Steve Jobs). Maybe Cook has changed things around.

The main page in the UK is back up but I still cant select an iMac.

Edit: Actually in down again.

Yeah, you will know it when the iMacs are coming out. You know the usual, earthquakes, volcanos.... In Iowa. It will be no secret if they really are coming out.
