I just purchased a new 20" 2.4 GHz iMac with 1 GB RAM.
I currently have a 15" iMac G4 with 768 MB RAM.
Is it possible for me to remove the extra 512 MB stick from the secondary slot in my old iMac and place it in the secondary slot on my new Mac to upgrade to 1.5 GB?
Is it the same type of RAM?
Thanks for the help.

D'oh.
Thanks.
Can anybody suggest a good 1 GB stick to buy then?
I feel like Apple overcharges RIDICULOUSLY for their RAM.

DOn't buy RAM from Apple. Just make sure that whomever you buy through has a 100% Mac-compatible guarantee and lifetime warranty. Read the fine print regarding return policy, restocking fees, etc. Reputable dealers include OWC, DMS and CanadaRAM.
