New Images/Videos In Photos Not Showing up in FCP

Hello everyone...

Beginner level user to FCP - and am not certain how to make this work...

When I first import an image into FCP - it works as expected by me finding the image by opening the sidebar and selecting Photos...

If during my session - I add an image or video to Photos - it does not display the new image unless I close and reopen FCP

Is there a better way for me to do this?

Unfortunately, that's just the way it works. The Photos library is only updated at startup. I would copy anything I need into a project folder first anyway and import it from there.

I think I found a workaround…

if I toggle the browser selection to something else - then back to Photos - it recognizes new items…
