INRIX updated their iOS app to version 6.0 yesterday, and it's so much more capable now. And, the former "Premium" options that cost $30 are included now at no cost.

The new features that I've found so far: switch from Apple Maps to Google Maps, 1-finger zooming in/out as with GMaps, navigation with Google Maps POIs, saving of multiple destinations (contacts, places, and POIs), weather-based navigation rerouting!!! (http://inrix.com/products/autotelligent), hazard/congestion navigation rerouting, parking location (lots/garages) including whether the parking location takes cash or cards or both, a new interface that shows camera data in the same window, calendaring and contact ETAs (opt-in or opt-out).

Some of the same features, like incident reporting and being able to disable some types of items - like events or construction - remain. The only "con" I can see so far is the inability to download data before a trip - a minor niggle IMHO as one would need an active data connection for traffic reporting anyway.

I have no ties to INRIX, but do see DOTs in 3 states (ID, WA, OR) feeding them traffic data - along with about 300M users. And still, no ads...

Yeah I noticed that King 5 here in Seattle uses them so I checked the app out yesterday when I saw the update. Looks like they're trying to put some pressure on Waze. Nice little app but not moving from Waze just yet.

While I really like this app, this latest update completely KILLS the battery in my iPhone SE.
I heard back from their tech support that they're looking into the problem and to set it to use device location only when using the app.

Hope they can fix this issue quickly.
