Lol, I was browsing my iPhone file system through iBrickr while I watched over the SDK Event video. So it occured to me that, why not change the installer icon with the new App Store Icon...

Here is what comes now, with labels and with out labels

How did you get that icon?

How did you get that icon?

There is a post in Hackint0sh about installing Installer Manualy. That Installer package includes the new icon. However, I never used the package. Instead, I used iBrickr .91 to go to the files system, delete the current Installer icon and upload the new Installer icon. Rebooted my iPhone and done!

Now you need to replace the iTunes icon from the current 'down arrow' to the new 'music note', and give calculator square buttons. :D

Lol, nah, I like the current icons for the Calculator and iTunes. However, I am trying to change the name from Installer to App Store. So far unsuccessful.

Maybe a symlink perhaps?

I'm using Cyberduck. I placed the new icon into the file under "Installer app". I'm not sure this does much. Can someone explain how to complete the process and make it the default icon.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Code:
scp attachment.png root@iphone.hostname:/Applications/Installer.app/icon.png
ssh root@iphone.hostname restart

I don't think I understand. I'll try to muddle through, but this isn't clear to me.

Sorry

Thanks for this. Very easy when you know how. I did it on a MacBook Pro with Cyberduck. Thanks for knowing how.

Now I know how.
