As many know on June 26th there were ALOT of rumors about intel releasing there next line of SSD's within 2 weeks of that posting. It is well into that 2 weeks now and almost at the 2 week mark.

Anyone got more info on the drives or know if they have been released to any sellers yet? Thanks.

It wont be 2 weeks until Friday and considering it was a Holiday weekend many places were closed on Friday the 3rd so it would probably take place this week.

I am waiting for it too. Hopefully the new 320 gb version will be under 700.

    I'm waiting for the buy

I just sold my new MBP. I added the SSD option and it came with a decent Toshiba 128gb. But after looking at the specs and running xBench, and seeing what was out in the market, especially with the praise of Intel's x25, AND it being my first SSD I had to have one of the best, AND I got the 2.26ghz version and wanted the 2.53 after all. So I hope they come out with something as fast or faster at better price points, and quick availability.

Unfortunately, the Inquirer story was based on an unnamed source.

The most credible story is still the roadmap which shows a 4Q release.

The most recent story is from Hardmac.com that Intel is planning to release a 128 GB SLC SSD later this year and 256 GB SLC SSD in 2010.

28% discount sounds good (calculated for European markets)!

Thats about $225 for 80gb in the US!
