Still having issues with my M-Audio Mobile Pre USB ever since Leopard. Grrr. Besides that issue, I was looking into a different interface with 4 to 10 inputs. I use a MacBook Black and recording has been no issue. I just want to mic the drums better than just 2 mics. Any recommendations?
 
I am very happy with Echo Audio's interfaces (http://www.echoaudio.com/). Very good technical specs, and from what I hear, and have experienced myself, their support of Mac OS X is top notch. I have the Echo AudioFire8. Maybe they have something that'll work well for you.
