A welcome feature. I often need to move vehicles around while doing yard work while my headphones are on, and the automatic switch to the vehicle's bluetooth is annoying.

First world problem? Definitely. Doesn't mean it's any less annoying though.

This has been needed since, ohhhh, maybe 2007 or so. Better late than never.

WOW I hate it when I'm on the phone, have to go somewhere and my car decides to hijack my call.

Glad this is happening; was beginning to think it was harder than landing a rocket backwards.

What about when you are listening to local music on your Apple Watch with AirPods, and you happen to pick up your iPhone and it starts playing on your phone? So annoying!

I never realized this was a "Problem" - I use my MFi Hearing Aids to listen to (for example) a podcast or audiobook, and when I get in the car & start it, the audio switches to the car system. Which is exactly what I'd want it to do.

Good to have options though!
When I'm on a phone call through my hearing aids I don't want it switching to play in the car , where I can no longer hear it!

Will this also lock the Apple Watch to AirPods? I've tried to go watch only for phone calls but it gets glitchy and even reverts to the watch speaker.

Will iPad os 26 finally solve the problem when I play something for example Spotify and then change to another stream and that they not interrupt each other?
