I just bought a new 256GB Air 3 with the Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil.

NOW I NEED TO SET IT UP!

I am new to the iPad (any iPad), though I do have an iPhone 6S, so I'm a little familiar with iOS (though obviously only on the iPhone).

What are you recommendations for apps for the iPad - incredibly useful, amazing, or just necessary! Paid or Free, either way - just one restrinction NO SUBSCRIPTION payments please, that's non-negotiable.

My use scenarios: I'm a writer and filmmaker. Below I mention some of the apps I have for the iPhone as well as some I'm considering getting for the iPad - but please feel free to recommend alternative apps if you feel they are superior.

Here is what I have, all for the iPhone - again, feel free to suggest alternatives if you feel they are better (paid, or free, but not subscription!):

1) At present I do have the Final Draft Mobile App for iPhone. I also downloaded the excellent storyboarding app Storyboarder by Wonder Unit.

2) I have GoodReader for iPhone, MOBIReader for iPhone

3) Units Plus for converstions of units of measurements.

4)Amazon's app, B&H's app

5) Various banking and credit card apps

6)Youtube

7) Apple News, Google News

8) Google Apps: Drive, Maps, Gmail, Chrome Browser, Calendar

9)VLC

10) RNG - random generator app (love this one, super useful)

11) Skype

Here's what I'm mulling over getting:

a) Scanbot

b) iA Writer

c) Notability

OK - that's it for now. So what would YOU get for a new iPad, that you find super useful? TIA!

I use some of yours, but also:
-For writing Goodnotes (like you) and a bit of Nebo (latter converts handwriting to text)
-Documents & PDF Expert (great for PDF manipulation & editing) by Readdle
-Kindle (novels, business books and my help at attempting to cure insomnia)
-Omnifocus
-Omnigraffle
-Omniplan
-iThoughts
-Bear
-Pages & Numbers (personal, preferred)
-Teamviewer and MS Remote Desktop
-Word & Excel (business, must share docs)
-PCalc

I love my new Air too!
