Then why even post this macrumors?

They are called 'bots'. Are they REALLY bots or people? Because frankly some of the things they post are soo stupid that I could envisage a real Bot doing.

Hmm. This looks photoshooped to me. I can tell because I've seen some shoops in my time..

Whew!

I surely thank you for your reassurance, folks. I was beginning to sweat the appearance of a plastic iPad2. (Images of The Graduate in 1967: "Plastics!" Ick.)

At least I think you're reassuring me. Stories I've seen include the notion that the iPad2 could be an analogue to MacBook to the iPad3's MacBookPro (thus making plastic more congruous).:(

Thanks for all your comments! I've seen that MacRumors is trustworthy.

Even the plastic covering for the 3G antenna is not centred properly, sitting too far to the left. Baaaad photoshop.

I am not a fan of this inevitable, tapered design. However, this fake mockup makes it seem a little bit better.

I honestly don't think Apple will use a tapered design due to the amount of cases made for iPad 1 but more importantly docks due to the lack of universal dock.

The next generation iOS devices won't need a power button. With the soon to be realeased OS with gestures we can use gestures to turn it on, and off.

You're trying to be funny right? You're not actually being serious are you?

look at what they did from iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4. Apple does not give one half-hearted SH!!!T about case manufacturers.

I'm pretty sure that you'll power it up with a figure gesture ballet on the screen.

Cant believe Mac Rumors didn't know about that.

just my 2 cents, but I would be really surprised if the new iPad didn't look like a big iPhone 4. Meaning the flat back/silver sides style. The iPhone 4 and the unibody macbooks look the same, why not drag that image into the iPad family. Just a guess though, I didn't "hack" apple's servers.

This.

That's the first thing I noticed too.

Anyone else feel the large iPad will feel more fragile now that the back isn't curved. I keep imagining a laptop screen where pushing too hard on the back will put ripples in the LCD.

There is only one size of iPad.

Have we not yet learned that BGR contributes nothing, and that they intentionally spread false information as click bait during times of increased interest? Personally I find Macrumors irresponsible for even covering the lies BGR puts out, or even mentioning their name. They should be buried.

The iPad 2 could very well look like that. Or, it could look nothing like that at all.

Who cares. We'll know the real and only story on Wednesday.

Well, I wouldn't be quite that hard on BGR, but they don't seem to have many solid sources.
