No LED Flash with iPad camera. :(

I use iPad to take up close pictures of small items, and the shadow from iPad is HUGE.

I do set up lights (when I can), but then sometimes the iPad itself gets in way of the light (and the shadow is not totally eliminated)

And don't get with the dumb idea of taking the photo with an iPhone and use the Photo-Streme image (which does not work with movies, BTW),
because then why bother installing camera in iPad if you are not going to use it?

Why bother using an inferior camera when you can use a superior camera? Using the best possible camera isn't a dumb idea...

I hoped for a flash as well.. Especially with how hardcore they are promoting their camera on the iPad.. seems a bit confident without a flash. I'm not sure what market they are aiming at for getting serious with a tablet and photography but although not a deal breaker, seems like an incomplete project without the flash.

i can see taking pics with a mini, but with the air, really?

i wish they take away the rear camera and expand the battery a little more.

Thats a very selfish thing to say.

How about they fit a better camera and reduce the battery?

No, as that would be a very selfish thing for me to say.

Just because YOU don't use something much, does not mean other people may want something.

I feel sorry for you. You can't afford a camera with external flash to take macro photo so you bash device that is not meant to be used like that. Yeah, poor you! Sorry that you had to experience such a disappointment today. Maybe Santa will bring you some camera equipment you can use for the specific task you want it for.

Jeez, since when people lost all the practical thinking? Is all humanity lost cause we became unrealistically demanding? When do we stop?

I don't like the idea of taking pictures with a tablet. But I also don't get why they spent so long about the ipad air 2 camera tonight...and they have never put a flash on it.

It's either meant to have a camera for pictures (in which case, why no flash?) or its meant for video (Facetime) and little else (the odd specialist app I suppose)

When it comes to posting images on objects online with edits and text, nothing is faster than and iPad.

A flash on a tablet? Nonono.. That's what the phone is for.. Personally, I still find the back camera on an iPad to be one of those features that never should have happened..

Ya know what? Out of all the stupid complaints people make and the future complaints to come, this is one i actually agree with. It's got a camera and at the presentation they're selling it as an iPad you can really take pictures with, but you really have to be outside to take pictures with it because there's no flash. Why not?

Now that i think about it, it really makes no sense to put a camera without a flash on an iPad. You assume people are going to take pictures with it. You even sell it as a feature. How do you expect people to take pictures with it in low light?

Maybe there will be a flash in a future iPad. There's no indication of iPad ever getting a flash, but i want one. Because why the hell not?
