New IPAD as second screen with new MBP?

Can I use my New IPAD as a second screen with the new Retina MBP I'm ordering Friday? If so, please point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I bought air display to use as an additional screen for my iMac.
I'm not overly impressed sometimes I experience lag on my N wifi network but perhaps the most annoying aspect is how small text is displayed on the iPads native resolution.
