New iPad lag

My new iPad seems to be buggy. It has frameskips and lags in many games and other small lags and just isnt smooth. Anyone else experiencing this?

Did you have an iPad 2 before this one?

I've noticed quite a few random momentary freezes in Safari, and in the settings app.

The retina display seems to be a trade off for smoothness

I've noticed that on mine too,that never happened with iPad one for me.

Smooth as butter for me with my iPad 3. Not sure whats happening with u guys' iPads though.

same here. my iPad 1 was laggy but iPad 3 is buttery smooth.

Same here. iPad 2 was the best ipad i used so far. I experienced some lags when streaming high def Netflix videos and when quiting an app.. It just not as smooth as iPad 2 ..
