Hello guys,

I had two different 12.9 iPad Pro offers recently and I am still trying to figure it out which one is the best one to go. Here they are.

1) 5 months old 12.9 iPad Pro 128GB/LTE with Smart Keyboard and Apple Case in very good condition for 694 pounds

2) Brand new 12.9 iPad Pro 128GB/LTE for 675 pounds.

Which one would you pick and why?

Depends how much the keyboard and case are worth to you. The "old" device is still under warranty as long as there is no negligence from the previous owner. Apart from a 256gb option I believe the 12.9 is unchanged.

That's the thing, I am really planning on using it as a laptop so the keyboard will be essential.

Id go with the one with the keyboard and case. You still have 7 months of warranty and don't have to shell out the extra 170$ for the keyboard. As long as its in like new condition, id go with the older model.

And another 7 month, possibly new version of iPad Pro 12.9" already coming too lol

Go with the new one 12 month warranty
Why? Unless the OP is planning on getting Applecare, I've had 10 ipads since ipad 1 and none have ever died from something that would be covered by the standard warranty. I've had several replaced as I physically broke them by dropping which isn't covered by the 12 month warranty anyway.

I would be genuinely surprised if this happens considering how long it took Apple to update the Air 2 and Mini 2/3.

Reason enough for me. Out of warranty repairs for the 12.9" iPad Pro are US$599.

Yeah, I think I am gonna get the used one.
I only buy used computer/tablets/notebooks if the price is dramatically less than buying new (dramatic=50% or greater discount). I don't care who is selling it, you never know what has happened to the device. But that's me.

Thanks a lot everyone. After going to the Apple Store to check on iPad Pro 12.9 form factor, I realised it is just too big, so I returned my iPad Mini and bought the 9.7 iPad Pro again. This time I am pretty sure it will stick around ;)

OPtion 1 for sure but just show up with $650 Cash if the seller refuses walk away say have a nice day no hard feeling 100% they will accept the $650 thats how I got my First iPad Air 2 seller wanted $450 I showed up with $350 Cash If they take it and accept I win and if they dont I walk away.

Seller accepted the $350 for a new iPad Air 2 in 2014 sealed was probably lost or stolen new. Guess what I basically stole it from him at that price. Sold it 3 months ago for $300

That's not cool. Usually when we meet we have the price defined. I would be really pissed off if I was seller in that case

I have gotten all of my ipads (ipad 2, 4, mini 2, air 1) used except for the IPP 12.9. All are still in use by some family member or other. I have had no issues with any of them. I would go for the used one.

Douche bag move honestly. I have had people do that to me as well.

I tell them we agreed on a price, then they say they only was able to get so much out, I tell them it's the price we agreed on or I walk. Generally they pay the right amount. If not I walk, I don't deal with scammers

I had a guy try to buy a record player that was 60 bucks fortunately I met him at a coffee shop and played a record there with computer speakers on really low volume (isolated spot at a big coffee shop) and he wanted 40 since he found out records go for 20-30 a pop and saw the third twenty dangling out of his pocket while telling his dad over the phone he was about to "see about a deal" I just about rolled my eyes and said 60 is as low as I go.

I kid you not. In the end I got what I asked for and unfortunately he didn't feel ashamed
