Just want to clarify with those who have experience getting their sets swop for issues after the 14 days period. I understand if one do so within the 14 days period, it had be a new retail set. However, afterwhich if you swop, the replaced set will be come in a form of a different box which I was told.

Anyone have any idea whats the difference between that and a refurbished set? I was also told that they are not refurbished.

After the 14 day return period expires, you are subject to a replacement iPad, which is just the unit it self that may be refurbished in the sense that it has a new casing, battery and display. Apple might referred to it as a ‘new’ device, which essentially in some ways it is, but it also may be used in that respect also.

Thanks for clarifying. However, i was told that because the new unit is still so new, there isn't refurbished sets yet. So in this case, is the replaced sets as good as new?

That’s not exactly true. It doesn’t mean that you can’t get a refurbished unit as explained above, because you very well could receive a refurbished unit. But either way, there is no way you would be able distinguished from refurbished or used based on the condition, as it looks exactly factory new.

That's true. I could never know if it's refurbished simply by looking. Anyone else have any experience with the replacement sets before?

Apple sent me a replacement iPhone 7 after my warranty was up at no charge... I guess it was my one freebie device, anyway it was a replacement and looked brand new still works great to this day besides the battery, which I want to get it replaced, then sell it. I’ve also bought refurbished from the site, again, they look brand new with new parts.
