My 2018 iPad Pro 11" screen was cracked and I just made it worse. Considering either a new iPad Pro 11" or the Air as it's virtually the same size with a newer CPU. Other than promotion I don't really see any real difference than cost. Do others concur? Or am I missing some other benefits?

I did, that is how I know it was only really Promotion, well cameras as well but I don't care about them. Was just surprised it was such little difference between the two which made me think I was missing something.

But I guess the Air being so new vs the Pro it has just leapt ahead a little until the new Pro is announced.

Exactly on your last comment aside from the rear camera update. The A12Z is not really any slower then the base A14, but that just makes us anxious to see a better A14 CPU/GPU with more cores in the near future when the new Pro is announced.

To be fair any of them will be fast enough for my needs, but will just grab an Air, seems to be fine.

Get the iPad Air 4. It is pretty clear that the benefits of the iPad Pro do not appeal to you.

Some members here have said the image quality is less on the Air. Ymmv
