iOS New iPad UI question / Photo gallery

Hi all,

I've been just getting into the iphone developement here recently (coming from a mostly VB background) and had been testing with the SDK for a while.

As I'm not a paying member of the Apple Developers Group yet, I can't download the newest beta and therefore haven't been able to check out the new features and UI elements of the iPad.

My question: Apple keeps showing the pinch-to-expand photo album view in all their commercials and videos, is this UI element available to be inserted into 3rd-Party Apps, or is it proprietary to Apple's Photo app on the iPad?
