New IPad User Question

Only have my IPad a week. When I first power it on it makes a slight "clicking" sound. Also when I shut it off with the side switch, same clicking noise. Is this normal. Guess I did not notice it the first week of use....Thanks
 
Is it a mechanical sound (ie something moving) or a digital sound/tone?

Also does it happen whilst you are pressing the button or afterwards?

Is it a continuos clicking, or does it just click once?

Post back with a touch more info and I'm sure we can help.

Failing that - go to an Apple stroe where they will look at it for you/replace as necessary 😉

When I power it on there is no sound. When I slide to unlock there is a single "click". When I shut down on the side, again just a single click.
 
If I'm understanding you properly (which I may not be), I think you are looking for:
Settings -> General -> Sounds -> Lock Sounds <on|off>
 
that just sounds like the standard lock/unlock tone if I'm honest

Its supposed to make a small sound on both of those events when you have the volume turned on....
 
Didn't know some people didn't like the lock sounds. I know someone who can't stand the keyboard clicks so I guess there are all types of people 😛

I really dislike the lock sounds, but weirdly I like the clicking keyboard sounds. I'm weird, I know😱
 
I like the keyboard sound. When I'm at the library, I put the volume as high as I can and start typing hehe

I never understood the point of people trying to be obnoxious just to disturb other people. Seems extremely immature to me.
