Can you use a normal cable of an old iPhone 8 and its brick? I will get a new one but I have several around the house and do not want to change them all
Will it charge the iPhone 12 slower?
Which protective film would you suggest? I only used films and not glass in the past but it seems I cannot find film anymore
A protection for the camera lenses in the back is it suggested?
Thanks in advance!

Yes you can

It will charge it at 5w so it will be slow, and may take a while, but it will work fine and will actually be better for your battery than fast, heat inducing chargers.
