As long as it has a 120Hz display, I have a feeling this is going to be a really popular iPhone. Pro is going to take a hit.

As a long time Pro user, I'd gladly trade the 2 cameras I hardly ever use for something more portable and pocketable. The 16 Pro Max is just massive, and has become uncomfortable to use and tote around. I'd also gladly accept the A19 instead of the A19 Pro, because what difference does that actually make at this point? Nothing noticeable. Every new phone will have Apple intelligence, so it hardly matters.

The only thing that really interests me about this phone is the screen size. From my perspective I would like a phone somewhere between the 6.1 iphone and the 6.7 iphone plus. I was hoping I would like the iphone 16 pro 6.3 size but it wasn't enough difference.

For me to be interested in this phone, it would need to feel like an in-between size like I mention and not sacrifice any battery life. At minimum it would need to have same battery life as the iphone 17. I'm not sure how I feel about one camera but I suppose if it was similar capability to 2 lenses I would be ok with it.

what are you talking about? even in "most of the world" countries like spain you can't get a tourist e-sim (local one) without getting a contract.

The absence of a physical SIM card slot wouldn't make much of a difference in the United States, as every iPhone sold in the country is already eSIM-only. This could be an issue for users in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, however, as iPhones offered in these regions only support two physical SIM cards.

It seems unlikely that Apple would create a model unsuitable for use across different countries and regions. Even with its ultra-thin design, dummy units indicate that the iPhone 17 Air will retain the Camera Control button currently found on the iPhone 16 range. It wouldn't be impossible for Apple to include a SIM card slot, and the iPhone maker needs to do so if it wants to sell the iPhone 17 Air worldwide.
