New iPhone 4 Earpiece Volume

Just picked up new Verizon iPhone 4 and noticed the earpiece volume is not that loud. Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the 3GS which had a louder volume and also my previous Evo was much louder.

Yes, and also removed any packaging film.
