New video is up, Wow.
Wow, pretty good.
I feel like I remember them saying these were Ion Strengthened whatever that means, so I figured they would be at least as strong as the 5 series.
I like this test a lot better. The way the other drop tester did it was definitely a worst case scenario situation where the phone landed flat in its face when it shattered, but I think real-world drops are going to be more like these. Impressed.
The drop test results here look pretty bad to me:
Except for when the 6+ shattered when being dropped on it's side?
Wow that was very impressive!
These videos give me so much anxiety
what glass are they using now days in it, just regular gorilla glass? Or is it like Apple's own?
Here's another test which doesn't look good at all.
They say perfect but you can tell the screen is pulling apart on the slow motion video of that face down drop ....lol
I noticed that, too.
On two different drop videos on YouTube, on one both phones cracked, the other they were both fine
Drop tests are nothing on their own. They have to be taken on aggregate, because every drop is different.
That's because he's virtually throwing them down.
Yeah, but all together, there were 6 drops and neither display cracked at all.
I saw that too!
No he isn't. He's moving the platform the phone is resting on down faster than the phone is falling. Moot point anyway since the 6+ failed when just released.
Lol @ "virtually throwing"
That is the indication of a poorly performed test. Without a point of failure there is no reference.
