A person i know has an android samsung phone and has the tmobile 50 dollar monthly plan. They also purchased an iphone 6 for $200 and got the 2 year plan with verizon. The iphone 6 currently works at the moment. They also wanted to transfer their phone number from their samsung to their iphone.

However, the other samsung android phone thats with tmobile thats also the same phone number... that works as well. Can someone explain this?

So if someone call their phone number, will it go to both the iphone and the android? Iphone is verizon and android samsung phone is tmobile. The reason they still have tmobile is because they are going to europe and wasn't sure if they going to receive the iphone on time so they just paid 1 more month of their tmobile plan with the samsung just in case. So basically they paid for 1 more month but only used it for few days b/c their iphone 6 came.

Obviously their iphone plan started but why does the tmobile plan work as well? Yes its paid for 1 more month so the phone when someone calls , it will ring in both phones? But if the iphone calls another number, does that mean you could or cannot make a phone call with the samsung android one?

I'm really confused about this.
