HI everyone? My mom just got the 6 (4.7" model) last night from AT&T. We activated it online and everything registered. At first, LTE popped up, then went away and then came back on. Now no matter what, we cannot get the phone to connect to LTE. My iPhone 5 was sitting on 3 bars LTE the whole time. I have tried:

Toggling LTE
Resetting the network settings
Airplane Mode

And nothing works. She even took it to work today and its still on connected to "4G". The phone is beautiful and works fine other than that. This doesn't mean its defective does it?

Call att. Almost certainly a provisioning issue on their end.

One thing to check is are you on a wifi network? When you are, the phone will no longer show "LTE" in the top bar, even if you are able to connect. Disable wifi in Settings to check LTE status if you aren't sure. Airplane mode would not work because that will also disable the cel antennas.

Ah. Yeah that makes sense. Thanks guys.

My problem was that I couldn't even get LTE to show up at all. It would just 4G. When connected to wifi, I didn't see 4G.

I have the same issue. I was provisioned wrong but that still didn't fix the issue so I'm getting a new SIM card. will report back later today.

The guy at the Apple store that sold me my phone yesterday warned me to activate the new SIM card in the AT&T phone that I bought instead of using my 5S SIM. He said that he had a couple of people come back and complain about not being able to use data on their phone and it turned out to be a SIM problem after they had called AT&T and troubleshooted.
