I’m going to buy an Iphone SE and am wondering about the best practices in regard to a new device battery. I know they come half charged.

Is it best to use up he first charge all the way to 0% ?

And after that a full charge from 0-100% ?

Or doesn’t it make a difference anymore these days?

Cheers,
Ben

I echo the answer: It doesn't matter. Some buyers get a new iPhone with no charge on the battery at all (though probably rare in a new model, but the SE could be sitting on a shelf for some time, compared to the more popular, new models, and might be fully discharged. Plug it in, and let it charge for 10 minutes or so before using it. Should be good to go!
After that, plug it in when you need to. Use it how you like.

Some phones come fully charged or partially charged. Lithium ion batteries at fairly resilient and be charged immediately if Desired or used right out of the box.

Here is some more information on Apples lithium ion batteries and usage:

What everyone said above ^ there really is no “best practice” to use an iPhone.. phone batteries nowadays aren’t like the basic phone batteries from back in the day where you had to charge them before use. Just use it, and if it needs to be charged, plug it in.

using the battery "right" or "wrong" will make VERY little difference. i suggest you just enjoy your phone and not worry about the battery as much.
