I purchased an iphone and was trying to access the internet, but i could only access it when i was connected to wifi. I went online to check my rate plan and there is no 24 dollar (premiere discount) a month data plan for the iphone. So i was wondering why this is? do i have to wait or do i call?
 
Try putting Airplane mode ON then put it back off.
Then try to see if your phone will have 3G, then try Safari..
If no luck, try Edge first (by disabling 3G services) see if that works

With regards to the discount, you're referring to a FAN discount?
Does your FAN state that $24 is the price for a data plan for the iPhone?
If it is, just call AT&T to ask to verify, if not then you're cost will be $30.

Why not phone your provider and ask them, I'm sure they could tell exactly why as opposed to a bunch of SWAG's.
 
Ok, I'm offering my SWAG:

You must signup again for your FAN discount with your AT&T Corporate Store, since they would have to see your ID reestablishing that you are associated with that corporation in some manner.

Next, you should contact AppleCare to see if you have a problem getting 3G at the location you are not receiving 3G access. Then call AT&T to setup your $30 data plan, if it hasn't already kicked-in, again just my SWAG...:D

Sorry if you already know this but there is a 3G enable switch in Settings->General->Network. Is it on?
 
Seeing as when you went online and looked and there was no Data Plan, I guess they haven't activated data on your account.

Your best bet is to call AT&T and get that sorted.
 
thanks for the replies i tried the 3g switch no can do. So they must have not activated my data plan. Also the FAN discount shows up online, for 24 dollars.
