Probably a 3GS with extensive plastic surgery. Like the cast.

The zing of the day!

I just keep thinking about South Park's SJP:

If you read the guys post someone asks that and his responce is that she clearly states the words New iPhone.

You forget, in the eyes of Apple, every product is "new" until it is replaced with another "newer" product.

This movie was filmed last year, probably when the 3GS was still pretty young. Now, I doubt such an icon of pop culture like the Sex In the City movie would be stupid enough to refer to any product as "new" given the timeline of movie production.

But, this appearance would make since along with the recent rumor that Lady Gaga is going to be in the iPhone ADs.

as if Dubai wasn't a good enough reason to watch! :D
I have a friend moving there in a week.

no. they can always have a last min change in hardware. it was not finished moths ago. why the hell would steve let someone show it off before him?

Maybe they call it her "New iPhone" because she lost/broke her old one and got a replacement (3GS) and it is new to her.

Just a thought

im sure the reviewer knows what he is talking about when it comes to this.

Poor OP.... For one, this would never happen. Considering the movie has been in production for the last 9-12 months, there's no way the next iPhone would make it in. Also, from what I've heard, Carrie is ditching Macs in this movie in favor of some....Dell offering?

Ok, if anybody goes to see this movie tonight, try and take good pics. Just sit in the back. Post them on here ASAP. Then we'll see if it's true or not.

On the TV series, many episodes started or ended with Carrie Bradshaw pondering love and life as she typed away on her very clearly displayed Apple laptop. The computer even became the focus of a subplot in one episode.
These key roles were a bonus for Apple, which never pays for product placement in TV or films -- although it will donate products to the set.

Carrie's love affair with Mac lasted a decade, but she's two-timing now. The film will still show Carrie on her Mac, but will also feature Hewlett-Packard's PCs prominently.

For example, Samantha Jones will work on an HP TouchSmart PC at her chic Times Square office. In real life, the company also gets prime placement in Sex and the City-themed window displays of Bergdorf Goodman, Swarovski and other luxury retailers.

In return, HP is running a massive ad campaign, including one commercial launched last week where Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays Carrie, appears as an HP spokeswoman. HP's director of global marketing, Tracey Trachta, wouldn't say whether a fee was part of their deal.

Referring to the Apple rivalry, she said, "the objective really was to harness the popularity and passion and excitement about 'Sex and the City,' and less so about displacing any competition."

I'm not ashamed to admit that I like Sex and the city, but I'm not 12, like some posters.

All the more reason why you shouldn't like it. I used to watch it, but I finally came to my senses. The values in that show are about as lowball as they come.
