Nice

I like the second one better also, as for the alerts? I think they need to be placed in an area where they can been seen without looking at the face. If the phone is in a carrier/clip/holster etc it needs to be seen without taking the phone out and looking at the face.

Would Love the notification light.

I hit my home button at least ten + times a day!

Great job!

haha,

cheers :)

Any more improvements needed?

First of all, wouldn't it be epic if this was how Apple came up with the new design? Anyway, if anyone has a Macbook Pro you know how the soft white light slowly pulses when you close the laptop but leave it on? That would be a nice way to do it, cause it gets your attention but doesn't DEMAND it. Just my thought.

If Apple includes the magnetometer, is it really going to be making a huge deal out of it? Especially naming it as a major feature and naming the device after it? I really, really doubt it.

I would totally buy that! It looks legit! i like the notification in the home button! I also like the iChat camera and the matte bezel! Good job OP!
Submit it to apple see what they think! even tho they are already making the next iPhone! lol

I'm sorry but the iPhone magnet is a really stupid name and the mockups are not very cool looking at all. It looks just like an iPhone 3G except... uglier ( and I won't even comment on the Original mockup, which was hideous with the two-tone)
I do like the status light idea. Sorry for being a dick I'm really tired but I just think this "mockup" is not very good.

Haha, this is what I was thinking. Naming a phone after a piece of technology in it that nobody really even knows about or understands (and doesn't really make THAT big of a difference for the end user) seems a bit silly.

It's like naming a new computer the "iMac 2GHz Frontside Bus."

This is the best idea yet.

Being a former BB user, the LED notification is definitely missed. Rather than having a green/red flashing light, the soft pulsing white light would look extremely classy. Maybe they could put this in the bezel surrounding the camera lens rather than the home button so it could be noticed from the hip.

looks good.....

you misspelled element though

I noticed this as well, but didn't want to sound nitpicky. Now that we are, "the iPhone magnet now contains a magnetometer" sounds redundant. Maybe "the iPhone now contains a magnetometer" or "the iPhone magnet contains a magnetometer" would be better.

But then you can't notice it when you take it out. I put my iPhone in my pocket with the top down, and I'm guessing most people do also. The camera would be on the bottom then, so I have to take my phone pretty much all the way out, then turn it around? I'd rather have it on the home button so it is on the top in my pocket and facing me when I remove it. The pulsing does look extremely classy though. I miss it on my Aluminum iMac. Good thing I still have a MacBook Pro that pulses. I hope the next iMac has it.

yeah,

I expect most people that put it in their pocket do it this way, so it would be better to leave it on the home button!

Nice work!

I would be very happy buying that. But i don't think Apple would ever put a flash on the back!

I mean the reason they have a sim tray the way they do is because they like it to almost be featureless

wow

back reminds me of samsung omnia somehow.
i dont think apples gonna put the flash in the back because of the design.

TBH the camera thing seems like what you'd find on an 11-year-old girl's phone.
Ignoring the gross generalization and sexism here, what are you even talking about? Are you referring to the copy, or the camera itself? A better camera in general would be swell.
Also like the illuminated square only idea.
