What app you use is probably down mainly to where you are. I'm in the UK and tend to use Met Office or BBC Weather, when we go on holiday to France each year i have the Meteo app which is the french weather service i believe although i think the BBC use them as well now.

I use my watch to check the weather a lot, so I'd like something with more accuracy, that offers good watch face complications. Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't mind paying for an app or service.
I find Weather Mate - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/weather-mate-pro-forecast/id608515289 - to be the best of the bunch. It allows you to select from multiple weather stations that are closest to you which would show the most accurate conditions where you actually are, not where the Airport or some regional weather station is. The other thing with this app that I find invaluable is that it will display the current temperature as a number badge on the app icon so you can quickly check the temp without launching the app. It may be the only app that has this feature. It has an excellent widget that displays the forecast, current temp and wind conditions. I use it on both my phone and ipad so I see the weather conditions at a glance without launching the app. I believe they have a very good watch app as well but I don’t use it.

If there are any issues, and there have been occasionally, the developers get back to you very quickly when you report a problem.

I'll check that out, thanks!

I'm a bit of a weather nut, and have just shifted from Android (Samsung phone and Galaxy watch) back to the iPhone and Apple Watch (14 Pro Max and series 8 watch).

Can somebody recommend me a weather app for my iPhone and watch? I'm currently using the default Apple weather, but despite showing the correct location, it's extremely inaccurate.

On my old Android phone, the default weather app was accurate. I have Google Home devices around my house, and when I ask for the weather, they report the same accurate weather as the Android phone.

Do you recall where the default Google weather app is pulling the data from? I would look to see if there are other apps that pull from the same source that way you can ensure that the information will be consistent between the different platforms..

I’ve been through the masses over the years and was a CARROT user for a long time but Apple’s weather app is currently the best (free) app in my opinion.
