Guys,

Just purchased my new iPhone and I have observed that the device is giving a lot of strain to my eyes and my head aches too. I have tried reducing the brightness, but the problem still persists.Anyone faced it before?

I had the same thing happen to me when I first got the iPhone. Just turn down the brightness level.

Me too!!!

I have also been experiencing a weird strain in my eyes while I watch video on my iphone. But I have forced myself through it over the past year.

Recently I have been having some more severe eye problems. I have been getting eye styes. One grew so big that I looked like a troll. I went to an eye specialist and she told me eye styes are usually from stress. She didn't think it was from my iphone.

But I continue to mildly strain my eyes watching videos on my iphone. I just googled if anyone else is having problems with hurting their eyes. And I think this might be a big problem for people with sensitive eyes.

Hi i have just noticed this thread i thought i was going mad
I have used iphones for ages and with my iphone 5 have been playing a game real racing 3 . After playing for about 3 months ( an hiur a day) i started to get a headache that grew and grew and i eventually ended up at bospital a and e worrying for my health. Turned out after a lot of checks my drs opthalmic surgeons that i bad a case of irisis.
After. Repeatedly asking weather it was linked to excessive eye strain it was deemed not and after a lot of ointments and checks and 3 months off the game i was pretty much back to normal.
So hearing the game had been updated i naturally thought i would have a look and i can report that after just 3 hiurs of play the headaches are back. I am gutted as i like the game but this is a serious aiklment bought on by straining my eyes playing this game. It basically means my eye is going into a rugby ball shape and tearing utself apart within the eyeball!!!!
I can assure you it is. Very painful!!!
Be careful headaches using iphones lead to this and to date opthalmic surgeons still do not link it is as a health hazard. I for ine will not be playing stupid games on my phone anymore as my sight is more important
