New iphone user requires help please

I have just bought an iphone. Unistalled itunes and then downladed latest version, plugged iphone into laptop via usb, iphone does not appear in itunes and I get an error message saying I need to reinstall?????

What exactly does the error message say? That you need to reinstall what?

you need to delete the itunes folders also. if you are using windows also.

Try posting the error message you are getting. Than we may find the resolution.
