My Apple store closed a few hours ago so it will have to wait until first thing in the morning, will they even entertain me though because when I've just turned up and asked for assistance in the past I've been sent away and advised to book an appointment??



The thing is I've already installed a screen protector so would they still exchange it for me? And would they give me another screen protector to replace the one I would be loosing??

You need to go to the store early while they still got some stock to replace your phone if required. You did your duty and have a phone, they should put you first if it does not work.
 
My iPhone 5 wouldn't charge either - on the wall charger or the USB w computer. Just wasn't recognized at all. I thought it was a faulty cable or something, but powered down the phone and turned it back on. Now it is charging just fine on wall and PC. Hope that works for someone else too.
 
My cable only charges the phone when plugged it one way; rotate cable to other side and it doesn't charge. Looks like I need to get a new cable too.
 
Should I just show up? They dot have any appointments available earlier in the day. I want I make sure I get a new cable, this problem seems to be happening to a lot of people.

It won't charge again!!! A few times of plugging and unplugging seems to randomly work. But I will be headed back to the Apple store for a permanent fix. And it is definitely "seated" or plugged in all the way - it just doesn't work.
 
Faulty Cable

I experienced the same issue with my wife's phone. She plugged it in and it would not charge. The cable ended up being faulty. I went to the Apple Store and they did a POS exchanged (pulled one out of a box and gave it to me) without any issue. Good customer service, but I am concerned about the durability of the cable at this point...
 
my Cable stopped working i think it fried , Went down to apple and they exchanged it

My Cable stopped working i think it fried , Went down to apple and they exchanged it , First i tried charging it in the Apple store iPhone 5 docks on Display . Pissed had to waste my time driving down there.
