iPhone XR New iPhone XR, would you update to iOS 14?

I had an SE, iOS 14 killed the battery, it was a disaster. I got fed up waiting on Apple to fix it if they ever do so went and bought a new XR. It must have been old stock because it came with iOS 13.5.1. Now I am wondering would the battery drain issues on iOS 14 still happen on an XR considering the battery size? Or should I just stick with where I am?

I had a xr on ios 14 before my 12 pro max.
Battery life was slightly worse but not massively
